Slapstick VS. Robotrek, 1994
Like its Japanese name suggests, Robotrek was a game more intended for children! I wish we would have gotten something similar, I saw Robotrek in the rental shop a lot as a kid and it never grabbed me because it looked so serious…
Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Ruka’s Journey/Iru’s Adventure VS. Dragon Warrior Monsters 2: Cobi’s Journey/Tara’s Adventure, 2001
Phew, this is a big one! There were two versions of Dragon Quest Monsters 2, a boy and a girl version. They’re pretty much the same game otherwise, so they get to be grouped together. This might be the first time the western box art embraced Toriyama’s art style!
I also threw in a bonus Dragon Quest Monsters 1+2, a Japan-only collection on PS1, because it is totally relevant and another good cover! It also ties back in to an earlier post this week.
